Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF)

Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes doing a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.

Intended Audience

The Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) is a regulated, recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

Course Overview

During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF)

Intended Audience

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.

Course Overview

Over a 3 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

This nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop the skills / knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, illnesses, injuries and emergencies which can arise when looking after children.

Intended Audience

The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it is been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders.

Course Overview

Over a 2 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including: assessing an emergency situation, dealing with an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, meningitis, head and spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, asthma and more.
